For anyone that doesn't know. A gay couple in Malawi has been sentenced to 14 years in prison (the maximum sentence in their country) they have also been sent to separate prisons with little hope of seeing each other. Their crime was planning their wedding and they have been convicted of acts of gross indecency.

Thanks Cauldron .. its scary isnt it that this can happen ?
I think the most any couple could be accused of in planning their wedding is bad taste .
... and we can all succumb to that now and then . :oops:

I'm delighted to hear that the President of Malawi has pardoned them. It doesn't take away from what they've gone through, but it's a welcome change of heart. Thanks to Ban Ki-moon and others who helped in this.
